Stage Types

Main World

Main Worlds are comprised of Story Stages and Extra Stages. At this time of writing, there are currently five Worlds. Completing stages in each World will unlock more units and finishing at least one World will unlock more aspects of the game. It is recommended you complete at least one of the worlds as the first thing you do when you first start playing.

Story Stages
Story Stages can be 2-3 Battles long. Each World contains 10 Story Stages. In these stages, you will sometimes be forced to field a particular unit. If you do not bring that unit in your party, you will be given a temporary unit until the completion of the stage. Story Stages drop N and R Rarity general parts. Selling R Rarity parts is the best way to get funds when the Funds Daily battles are not available. These stages are the easiest content in the game.

Extra Stages
Extra Stages are much more difficult stages with no story. These stages drop Enhancement Materials (aka EXP Hammers), which are used to level up unit parts. Extra Stages are the best stages to grind for EXP Hammers. Different worlds drop different types of hammers, which give a bonus when enhancing a part of the same type as the hammer. Extra stages also have a chance to drop various other rare materials.

World 1 - Slash & Strike
World 2 - Beam & Projectile
World 3 - Special & Support
World 4 - Beam & Slash
World 5 - Strike & Projectile

Chapters
Chapters are stories that take place after all of the World's, where each story joins up. As of writing, only Chapter 1 is available. Chapter 1 contains several Parts, with each Part containing 7 additional story battles of increased difficulty compared to the Main Worlds. They do not have Extra Stages. You must finish at least one of the Worlds to gain access to Chapter 1. Some characters can only be unlocked in these Chapters.

Dailies

Dailies are a collection of Worlds that can only be challenged three times per day. The dailies alternate between availability depending on the day, aside from Pilot Training dailies, which are available everyday. There are 10 stages for each daily, which are full of specific enemy types depending on the daily.

Remodeling Dailies
These dailies drop materials that are used to upgrade your mechs. They drop specific materials depending on the daily. For example, Mobility Dailies drop Mobility upgrade materials and have enemies that have high mobility. Funds Dailies are the exception, they feature a variety of enemy types with a randomized boss and do not drop any materials, only Funds.

Pilot Training Dailies
These dailies are always available and drop materials that are used to upgrade your pilots. The enemies in these stages change what type they are depending on the difficulty and all enemies have Break Gauges, making type advantage especially important in these dailies.

Monday - 機体改造【運動】 (Remodel Daily [Mobility])
Tuesday - 機体改造【攻撃】 (Remodel Daily [Attack])
Wednesday - 機体改造【防御】 (Remodel Daily [Defense])
Thursday - 機体改造【HP】 (Remodel Daily [HP])
Friday - 機体改造【照準】 (Remodel Daily [Accuracy])
Weekend - 機体改造【資金】 (Remodel Daily [Funds])
All - パイロット養成 (Pilot Training)

World Keys
You can use items called World Keys to challenge new versions of Worlds, with new Battle Missions for you to claim more rewards. World Keys will allow you to challenge any daily during any day of the week, but only up to 3 battles and it must be done within the next 30 minutes from activation.

Remodel/Pilot Tickets
These tickets are used to challenge dailies more than 3 times a day. If you do not have tickets, you can use D-Crystals to challenge them instead. But if you're going that far, you may as well just buy tickets from the Item Shop to get more bang for your buck.

Conquest

Check the Conquest page for more info.

Events

Events are limited time Worlds. Most events follow the same format, having 6 stages to challenge and offering various rewards, but do not have any story to them. Some events such as Crossing Pilot have more to offer and even have additional story. Check the Event and Crossing Pilot pages for more info.

Gameplay

This section explains several of the gameplay mechanics in SRW DD.

Check https://akurasu.net/wiki/Super_Robot_Wars/DD/Menu#Battle_Screen for button explanations.

Attack Attributes
There are 5 Attack Attributes applied to every attack in the game. 斬撃 (Slash), 打撃 (Strike), ビーム (Beam), 実弾 (Projectile), and 特殊 (Special). Attributes are important because every boss in the game has a Break Gauge, a shield that significantly increases their defenses until the gauge is depleted. Each boss has a weakness to at least 1 Attribute. Some enemies also have high resistances to certain damage types due to an effect they may have. It is highly recommended that you familiarize yourself with these Japanese characters so that you can recognize them in game. Or at least write it down somewhere.

Speed
This is a new stat for SRW that allows units to act in their own specific turn order as opposed to acting in player and enemy phases. Depending on a unit's Speed, they may be able to attack an enemy twice by lapping them in the turn order. The average Speed for most enemies and allies is 550.

Terrain
Different unit's have different Terrain advantages. Different tiles on the map also apply different additions and subtractions to stats. A unit's Terrain rating is determined by the unit itself and the parts it has equipped. Most parts have the same Terrain, as of writing at this time, so there's little differentiation here. Generally, water is the worst tile to be in for all mechs. Terrain modifiers still apply regardless of a unit's Terrain stat, so be sure to keep an eye on it at the top of the battle screen when a tile is selected.

Morale
Morale begins at 100 for all units and increases up to 150. It cannot fall below 100. Morale increases by defeating an enemy, being hit, dodging, and hitting an enemy. For every 10 Morale gained, a stat increase is applied. Certain special effects only activate at a certain Morale level. You can check a unit's Morale by holding down on them on the map.

Enemy Stats
You can check an enemy's stats by holding down on them on the map. You can check details such as their attack range, how long before they can use their Special Move, how many times they can use it, how long their Break Gauge will remain broken before recovering, their Morale, attribute weaknesses, mech stats, and any special abilities they have can be examined by holding down on the icon in the Main and Sub Slots.

Break Gauge
Each boss in the game has a Break Gauge. These gauges increase their defenses and usually must be destroyed to deal significant damage to them. Break Gauges are weak to certain attack types, depending on the boss. Once broken, they will become weakened and must take a certain number of Actions until their Break Gauge fully recovers. How many Actions it takes depends on the boss.
