Obtaining the Trust Zero Route

Much like the ZEUTH route in Z1, this secret changes the conclusion of Code Geass R2's plot and affects the order of events in the final scenarios of the game.

Zero Points

• In Prologue 1 "Black Rebellion", shoot down Cornelia with Zero within 4 turns (before the map automatically ends). [+1]
• In Scenario 3 "Messenger of the Sun, Tetsujin 28", choose to Go With Kallen (カレン達と一緒に行く). This makes two additional Zero Points available:
  • Clear Scenario 7 "Blackout" (Kummen route). [+1]
  • Clear Scenario 14 "Power Bestowed" (Middle East or Kummen routes). [+1]
• In Scenario 17 "A Bride in the Vermilion Forbidden City", shoot down the Da Longdan (battleship piloted by the Chinese senators) with Zero. [+1]
• In Scenario 27 "Zero vs. Zero", before player reinforcements arrive, either shoot down Wufei [+1] or reduce Heero's HP to below 60%. [+2]
• In Scenario 37 "The Galaxy is the Stage", Zero must have 70 or more kills by the end of the map. [+1]

If your Zero Point total is 5 or higher, you will have the option to Trust Zero (ゼロを信じてみる) at the end of Scenario 49.

If you're playing in a New Game+ save (by using your clear data from beating the game once), no Zero Points are required.

Other Notes

• There are some story events that will confirm if you have enough Zero Points. In Scenario 38 (Area 11 route), the events of Geass canon where Shirley is killed will take place as usual if you do not have enough points. Otherwise, Roger Smith and Banjou Haran will intervene to save her life. Also, in Scenario 39, Chirico Cuvie will be suspicious of Zero's motives, and Lelouch will reveal his face to Chirico if you have enough points.

• If you choose the See Kallen Off (カレン達を見送る) route in Scenario 3, all other requirements must be met and Heero's HP must be reduced to 60% in Scenario 27; otherwise you won't have enough Zero Points.

• If you choose the Middle East (Gundam) route instead of Kummen, you must fulfill one of the Scenario 27 events, but can skip one of the other requirements if you fulfill Heero's.

• It's not possible to meet both conditions in Scenario 27, even with the Shinkirou's MAP attack. (Which one takes priority is unknown.)

Secret Units and Pilots

Note: Lorelei and Anew can't both be completed at once, due to being mututally exclusive to route splits.

Danube α1 & Lorelei

• In Scenario 3, choose to See Kallen Off (カレン達を見送る), then take the Join the Crusher Squad on Earth (地球でクラッシャー隊に参加する) route.
• In Scenario 7 "Showdown! The Sorrowful Blue Danube!":
  • Do not attack or counterattack Lorelei, and convince her using Tetsujin 28.
  • During her 1v1 duel with Mazinger Z, defeat her before the map automatically ends.
• After Scenario 31, choose the Stay on Earth to join the diversion team (陽動部隊に参加するために地上に残る) route.
• She'll join you automatically in Scenario 32 "The Stolen Tetsujin".

If you fulfill all of these steps except choosing the Stay on Earth route, Lorelei won't join you, but will still appear as an NPC in later cutscenes.

Anew Returner

• After Scenario 31, choose the Go to space to destroy the satellite weapon (衛星兵器を破壊するために宇宙に上る) route.
• In Scenario 34 "White Fang":
  • Sortie Setsuna - he is not forced to deploy. He must also have 70 or more kills before completing these steps.
  • After Quattro joins you, attack (but do not defeat) the Gaddess (Anew) and Gundam Epyon (Milliardo) at least once.
  • Shoot down the Susanowo (Mr. Bushido) and Arche Gundam (Ali Al-Saachez).
  • Finally, shoot down Anew using Lockon's strongest Trans-AM attack.
• If all of these steps are met, Anew will survive and return to the Ptolemaios 2 after the map.

Caution: Avoid using the Ptolemaios 2's Trans-AM mode during Scenario 34. If it's active at the same time the ship becomes immobilized and you complete the secret, a bug occurs and prevents Anew from being useable. You can fix the bug by taking any route split that doesn't feature the Ptolemaios; the next time it sorties, Anew will be available.

Scopedog (Missile Pods)

• After Scenario 40, choose the Head to the Frontier Fleet (フロンティア船団に向かう) route.
• In the second part of Scenario 43 "Carnage", Chirico and Fyana must each shoot down 3 enemies. Chirico must also have 70 or more kills by the end of the map.

This secret is an extra mech for Chirico and Fyana, and is the only other unit Fyana can pilot; it's also one of the few units in the game to have 4 part slots.

Vincent Flight Type & Rolo Lamperouge

Unlock and choose the Trust Zero route. Rolo will join immediately. Otherwise, Rolo is only available in Scenarios 39 and 49.

Terminus 303 SP & Holland Novak

Unlock and choose the Trust Zero route. Holland will join in Scenario 54 "Showdown!! Towards Endless Evolution!".

Note that unlike the previous game, the Terminus 303 can't be used without its SP Booster parts attached.

YF-29 Durandal

• Prior to starting Scenario 55 (Don't Trust Zero route), or before the end of Scenario 57 (Trust Zero route), Alto must have 70 or more kills.
  • If not playing New Game+, Alto must also have the highest kill count out of all the Macross Frontier pilots (compared to Ozma, Luca, Michel, Klan, or Canaria; excluding Jeffrey).
• During either of the above scenarios, shoot down both Giant Ranka and VF-27y Lucifer (Brera) with Alto.

Secret Parts

Nyan Nyan's Famous Tuna Buns

In Scenario 15, move Esther to the position 2 spaces right and 8 spaces up from the bottom left corner, or 1 space left and up from where the Macross Quarter sorties.

Adrenaline Ampoule

In Scenario 18, Move Gino to the position 3 spaces up and 1 space right from the bottom left corner of the map.

Kamina's Glasses

In Scenario 23 (Dark Continent route), move Simon over to the Statue of Kamina, 4 spaces down and 4 left from where Simon sorties.

Auxiliary GN Drive

In Scenario 24 (Space route), move Duo 6 spaces down from the upper right corner of the map.

Super Repair Kit

In Scenario 31, move Crowe to the position 6 spaces up and 13 spaces right from the bottom left corner of the map.

Mark of the Brave (1st)

• After Scenario 20, choose the Go to the Dark Continent (暗黒大陸へ向かう) route.
• In Scenario 24, defeat all other enemies, then have Simon defeat Enkidudu (Viral).
• After Scenario 37, choose the Head to the Dark Continent with the Main Group (本隊と共に暗黒大陸に向かう) route.
• In Scenario 38, if the previous steps were met, Viral will drop the Mark of the Brave when shot down.

DM Adapter

In the first part of Scenario 39, move Zero to the position 3 spaces down and 13 spaces right from the top left corner of the map.

Hyper Jammer

In Scenario 41 (Japan route), move Koji over to the Kabuto House, 2 spaces down and 8 spaces left from the top right corner.

Mark of the Brave (2nd)

In the first part of Scenario 43 (Frontier Fleet route), move Shako 8 spaces up and 1 space right from his sortie position.

Insalaum's Secret Treasure

In Scenario 46, move Marguerite to the position 2 spaces down and 9 spaces left from the top right corner of the map.

Super Alloy Z

In Scenario 47, deploy Boss (he is not forced to) and move him to the position 1 space up and left from the bottom right corner of the map.
