Dr. Daimonji: We’re the Daiku Maryu squad, of the Earth Defense Force Far East Division. I’m glad we could make it in time.
Dr. Hamaguchi: That was a close one. Truly, thank you for coming. Director Oka has told me about the Daiku Maryu squad.
Staff: Dr. Hamaguchi, Director Oka is on the line.
Director Oka: Dr. Hamaguchi. My condolences on the loss of Dr. Mitsuyo, it’s a real shame what happened. As I’m sure you already know, we haven't been able to present a unified Earth Defense Force response to the alien threat. The way things stand now, the Earth doesn’t stand a chance.
