Secret Characters

Greimkaiser and Ahmos Gale

• Note: Gale and Julia are mutually exclusive. You will only be able to recruit one per playthrough; if you meet the conditions for both of them, Gale takes priority.

• Scenario 3: Move Eiji next to Gale and select "Convince".
• Scenario 4: Move Eiji next to Gale and select "Convince".
• Scenario 4: When Gale becomes an NPC, agree to save him.
• Scenario 10: Choose the "Go with Archangel" route after the scenario.
• Scenario 14: Eiji and Gale must have a battle encounter.
• Scenario 38: Gale will join after this scenario.

Bloodykaiser and Julia Asuka

• Note: Gale and Julia are mutually exclusive. You will only be able to recruit one per playthrough; if you meet the conditions for both of them, Gale takes priority.

• Scenario 20: Move Eiji next to ??? (Bloodykaiser) and select "Convince".
• Scenario 27: Do not defeat Julia. She'll retreat when all other enemies are defeated.
• Scenario 35: Do not defeat Julia. She'll retreat when all other enemies are defeated.
• Scenario 38: If you did not fulfill all of Gale's conditions, Julia will join after this scenario.

Re-recruit Gai Daigouji

• Scenario 20: Choose the "Go to the Moon" route after this scenario.
• Scenario 43: Choose the "Go to Peace Conference" route after this scenario.
• Scenario 44: Gai will return in his Aestivalis in this scenario.
• Scenario 49: If you re-obtained Gai, Tsukumo will appear as an NPC ally in this scenario.

Tekkaman Rapier

• Scenario 34: Defeat Tekkaman Evil with Blade.
• Scenario 36: Defeat Tekkaman Axe with Blade.
• Scenario 43: Tekkaman Rapier will appear to have died, but she will be available after this scenario.

Nobel Gundam and Allenby Beardsley

• Scenario 38: Do not defeat Allenby. She'll retreat after all other UEFA-affiliated (red) units are defeated.
• Scenario 41: Move Rain next to Allenby and select "Convince", then defeat her. She will join after this stage.

Sol Tekkaman Unit 1 Custom and Balzac

• Scenario 43: Choose the "Confront the Radam" route after the scenario.
• Scenario 45: Defeat Tekkaman Sword with Balzac.
• If these steps aren't met, Balzac and his unit will be permanently lost after scenario 45.

Secret Units

Great Zeorymer

• Note: Do NOT deploy Zeorymer on any scenario unless it is a forced deployment.

• Scenario 10: Choose the "Stay with Nadesico" route after this scenario.
• Scenario 13: Defeat Lanstar of the Wind with Zeorymer.
• Scenario 20: Choose the "Stay on Earth" route after this scenario.
• Scenario 21: Defeat Gallowin of the Waters and Bryst of the Fires with Zeorymer.
• Scenario 29: Defeat Rose C'est La Vie of the Moon with Zeorymer.
• Scenario 31: Choose the "Stay" route after this scenario.
• Scenario 32: Defeat Dinodilos of the Earth, Burrstone of the Mountains, and Omzack of the Thunder with Zeorymer.
• Scenario 32: If all steps up to now have been met, Yuratei will arrive piloting Great Zeorymer. Defeat Great Zeorymer with Zeorymer.
• Scenario 36: Instead of normal Zeorymer, Masato will return in Great Zeorymer.

IWSP Pack

• Scenario 10: Choose the "Go with Archangel" route after this scenario.
• Scenario 36: Choose the "Go to Alaska" route after this scenario.
• Scenario 38: Mwu will sortie in the Strike Gundam using the IWSP Pack. It can be used on other Gundam SEED units after this scenario.

Bonta-kun

• Scenario 24: Defeat Takuma with Sousuke.
• Scenario 29: Defeat Zaied with Sousuke.
• Scenario 30: Defeat Gauron with Sousuke.
• Scenario 34: Bonta-kun will sortie and be available from this scenario.

X Aestivalis

• Scenario 31: Choose the "Go to North America" route after this scenario.
• Scenario 32: X Aestivalis will be available after completing the scenario.

Enhanced Layzner or Layzner Mk II

• Scenario 31: Choose the "Go to North America" route after this scenario.
• Scenario 32: Before the stage, choose "Power" to obtain Enhanced Layzer, or "Speed" to obtain Layzner Mk II.
• If you choose the "Stay Behind" route instead, you automatically obtain Enhanced Layzner.

Vorlent / Raftclans

• Complete the game three times using all of Granteed, Belzellute, and Coustwell at least once. It is required to use the same New Game+ file each time.
• On the 4th playthrough, Vorlent will be available for use. It upgrades into the Raftclans in scenario 39.

Alternate method

Since the Vorlent is so obnoxiously time consuming to unlock, and is otherwise nigh impossible to use from a "clean" (no money, no upgrades) new game, the following Gameshark codes can be used in most emulators to unlock it right away.

(These codes were tested with the fan translation applied and might not work with the unmodified game.)

Enable the codes and start a new game to find the Vorlent among the original mecha. After you leave the pilot/weapon naming screen, it's safe to turn them off.

Note that saving your game doesn't keep the Vorlent unlocked in the new game menu; the codes only temporarily trick the game into making it available when starting a new game from scratch.

Original Sub-Pilot Secrets

Last attack for Upgraded Original Unit

• You must sortie Festenia, Katia or Melua 20+ times.
• The attack will be added on scenario 39 "Endless Light, Fading Life", or any time afterward, as long as the sub-pilot you're using has met the requirement.

This applies no matter which original machine you use; however, the Raftclans has more specific requirements:

• "Orgone Sword F mode" is unlocked by using Festina 20+ times
• "Orgone Rifle F mode" is unlocked by using Katia 20+ times
• "Orgone Claw F mode" is unlocked by using Melua 20+ times.

Alternate Endings (Touya only)

When playing as Touya, the ending will change according to which sub-pilot you sortied the most during the game. A secret variation occurs if you manage to use all three sub-pilots less than 20 times each by the end of the final scenario (thus failing to obtain any of his final attacks).
