Upgrade Mechanics

強化 – Enhancement

Enhancement is where you go to use EXP Hammers to level up your parts.

パーツ - Parts
Different parts have different level caps, depending on rarity. N parts cap at level 50, R parts at 55, SR at 65, and SSR at 75. Level and rarity affects the stats and overall effectiveness of a part. You can get a bonus when using an EXP Hammer on a part, if the hammer and part are of the same type. General parts do not receive bonuses from any type and hammers without a type cannot give any bonus EXP.

強化素材 - Enhancement Materials
Enhancement Materials, aka EXP Hammers, can be acquired by playing Story, Extra, or Event stages. The best place to get them are from Extra stages. You can also use other parts as EXP.

限界突破 – Breakthrough

Breakthrough is where you go to use Breakthrough Materials and other parts to break the level cap on your parts, which will increase the stat bonus they grant. You must have a part at its current max level to use Breakthrough.

Level Breaking
Different parts of different rarity require less EXP to level break. Rs for example only need 100 Breakthrough EXP to break the level cap. SSRs require 4000. These requirements increase as levels increase. You can only increase a part's level by 5 at a time, and only up to a maximum of 5 times. You can use any part as Breakthrough EXP, but it must be fully leveled before it can be used for that.

Make note that when giving Breakthrough EXP, do not give more than necessary. For example, if you only have 500 Breakthrough EXP left to increase the level cap, spending 5000 EXP will result in that 4500 EXP going to waste. It does not carry over into the next Breakthrough.

限界突破素材 - Breakthrough Materials
Breakthrough Materials can be used for Breakthrough EXP. These can be gotten from Events, drops in Conquest stages, rewards for Battle Missions, and extremely rare drops in Extra Stages.

特性 - Characteristics

Increasing characteristics refers to how many copies of the same part have been combined into itself. Doing so increases various aspects of the part's Abilities. In the case of Special Moves, it also increases their power, number of uses, and reduces cooldown. Parts can have their Characteristics enhanced up to +5. You can increase Characteristic in either the Enhancement or Breakthrough menus, you just need to combine two of the same part in either menu. It is recommended to use Breakthrough so you get Breakthrough EXP in the process, especially with SSRs. Finally, there are items that can specifically increase Characteristic level.

機体改造 – Remodel

Remodeling is where you go to upgrade your mech. Each mech can receive up to 20 upgrades in each stat. For every 5 upgrades granted into each stat, the mech will unlock a feature.

5 Upgrades - Mech Specific Upgrade
10 Upgrades - 3rd Sub Slot Unlocked
15 Upgrades - Mech Specific Upgrade
20 Upgrades - 4th Sub Slot Unlocked

Remodel Materials
You can obtain remodeling materials by playing the Remodel Dailies. You will need common and specific materials, depending on what upgrades you want to apply. There are materials required for each stat, with each tier of upgrades requiring a rarer version. Remodeling Materials go from Tier I - Tier IV.

パイロット養成 – Pilot Training

Pilot Training is where you go to upgrade your pilot's skills.

Basic Skills
Each pilot has 4 stats that can be upgraded, each stat having 3 stacks of skills. These skills require books of matching types to level up, with the 1st stack needing 5 levels, the 2nd stack needing 10 levels, and the 3rd stack needing 15 levels.

Special Skills
Special Skills are powerful skills that offer unique effects depending on the character. They can only be upgraded using Skill Orbs. Skill Orbs are acquired by getting SSR Attack Parts from rolling in the Gacha, rarely given out during special events, purchased in the Item Shop with Conquest Points, or created by combining Skill Orb Fragments.

Spirit Commands
Spirit Commands must be unlocked by using Spirit Command Books. You can get them from exceedingly rare drops in Pilot Training Dailies, rewards for events, or bought in the Item Shop.

Pilot Training Materials
Skill Books are used to upgrade basic pilot skills. Pilots are separated into 3 categories and different books are required for each one, on top of needing books of the appropriate stat type. They are given out during events, rewards from Battle Missions, and can be bought in the Item Shop with Book Codes. Book Codes are items that drop from Pilot Training Dailies. Memory Orbs are also needed to level pilot skills, and can be dropped from Pilot Training Dailies.
