Combination attacks explanation
A combination attack is a special attack used by several units in collaboration.
Unlike earlier games, combination attacks can be used even if the units are not adjacent or deployed however, there will be a damage penalty. Units not adjacent to each other suffer the same damage penalty as if they were not deployed, but morale and energy requirements still must be met. The ExC command "Trick Attack" will reduce the energy requirement to 0 for the unit that it is used on. While the attack power and morale requirement of a combination attack are identical for all its participants, other stats may vary.
Customization, damage and power parts
Any improvements to weapon ranges, Hit, Crit, and EN cost applies only to that particular unit. Weapon attack power improvements from power parts apply to combination attacks but, attack power is determined by averaging out their combined attack power and rounding up to 50.
- Ogami & Taiga's custom bonuses boost the combination attack power by 150 at 130+ morale
- The pilot skill Spirit Power improves attack damage by 50 every 2 levels per pilot. With both pilots at Spirit Power Lv 8, damage is increased by 400.
- When checking combination attack power values in the intermission, the weapon attack power is an estimate based only the unit you are examining. This value doesn't take into account the values of the other combination attack participants
Damage Penalties
As mentioned earlier, units not deployed or not adjacent to each other suffer a damage penalty.
- 2-unit attacks lose 1,200 damage per unit
- 3-unit attacks lose 600 damage per missing/not adjacent unit
Rabbits Formation loses attack power per unit but, at a different rate than other combination attacks.
