As players play the game, there will be chances of events occurring. These events have special requirements and tasks that differ slightly from the usual game play. These events may or may not have anything to do with the actual story, but they provide great prizes and are only around for a limited time. Don't miss them!

Formidable Foe Event

These events revolve around slaying a featured boss for prizes to strengthen your team and to boost your roster with special units obtainable only during the event. The boss gets stronger as you repeatedly defeat it, but the prizes get better as well!

How to Play

After clearing an event quest, a quest featuring the formidable foe will have a chance to appear in a separate quest category. Players will then have a limited time to accept the quest to defeat the featured boss using BP instead of AP. Defeating it will net you Event Gacha coins and specific rewards depending on how many times you have repeatedly defeated the boss. The harder the event stage, the higher probability the boss will appear, but be careful...it will come back stronger after every defeat!

Fighting the Boss

Players spend 1 BP to attempt the stage for 90 seconds. However, there is also an option to spend 3 BP at once to extend the fight to 200 seconds and the player's units will also get a 1.5 multiplier to their HP and attack power. There are some things to consider when attempting the stage:

  • The waves before the boss are meant to gather cores. All enemies will drop a random colored core.
  • The number of cores you get are very limited, so use them wisely. Even with stages with 4 waves (Level 100+), the most cores you will get are 11, and most of the time you cannot count on all 11 of them to be used optimally.
  • No cores drop on the last wave.
  • Take advantage of Cross Combos and Omega Crosses to maximize damage.

Friend Relief

Should you fail to defeat the boss, you can ask other players in the community for some emergency relief! This will allow other players to try and defeat the boss you could not. Players that receive your request can attempt the stage once without consuming any BP! A second attempt for friends to assist will cost BP. While this may provide a player great benefits they must be aware of the following:

  • The timer to finish the stage will still be ticking down! Pray that someone is responsive enough to salvage your situation!
  • The option to utilize Friend Relief is only available ONCE per Boss stage instance. Should a Friend Relief request fail to be accepted before the stage completion timer runs out, you will be refunded your Friend Relief opportunity.
  • You MUST give up using Omega Crystals to revive your party after being defeated.
  • Helping out those in need will only reward you with Rival Coins and points to advance on the ladder. You do not receive any special milestone rewards for assisting a friend.
  • Those looking to advance in the ladder should take full advantage of the free points from helping. The small gain in points means a lot on the ladder!

Rewards

You will earn 3 types of rewards for playing the event:

  • Consecutive Victories - based on how many times you have defeated your formidable foe
  • Foe Defeated - Rival Coins to use on the Event Gacha
  • Ranking reward - based on event participation ranked in a ladder type format

Consecutive Victories

Based on how many times you defeat a formidable foe, you may receive free prizes. The most valuable prizes will come in the form of SSR units and special supports that cannot be obtained outside of the event!

Foe Defeated Bonus

Upon clearing or losing the stage with a formidable foe, players will be rewarded Rival Coins. The amount of coins award will be based on these 3 criteria:

  • Clearing the stage successfully
  • The most damage done by your MVP unit
  • A small consolation prize players will get for simply attempting the stage. The more damage you do, the more coins you will get.

You will also gain points based on the same criteria as the Rival Coins, it other words, point gain is based on a fraction of the Rival Coins you receive for your performance fighting the formidable foe. These points will determine your placement on the ladder as you continue to fight the formidable foe repeatedly.

Acquisition Events

These events simply require you to clear quest stages to acquire limited time prizes. These prizes will usually be rewarded to players as a drop completion bonus for the event quest stages.

Assault Events

These events are a collection of stages with a featured prize at the last stage.

How to Play

Players start on the first stage and must clear the quests within in stage in order to unlock the next stage. This process will repeat itself until the last stage is reached. As the player clears stages and advances, they will earn Assault Points and E-Chips. Assault Points will be the value that determines the player's ranking on the ladder and reaching milestones will also grant extra prizes in the form of resources, upgrade materials, or event exclusive units. E-Chips can be redeemed in the chip exchange.

Fever Time

Upon clearing a quest, there may be a chance to activate Fever Time. Fever Time will double the amount of Assault Points and E-Chips they will earn for stages cleared in the next 5 minutes. During Fever Time, there also a small chance for a Great Fever Time, which will triple the Assault Point and E-Chip earnings. Players can choose to use the Fever Energy item to extend their Fever Time by another 10 minutes. Drop bonuses from Fever Time are applied when starting the quest, which means players may start a quest before the timer runs out and still receive the multiplied drop bonus despite the timer expiring during the quest.

Event Tips

Assault events have lots of stages and the Assault Point milestones for the featured prizes look very high, but there are some things players should know about these events.

  • Drop Completions are a complete waste of AP because the reward is friend points. Even for starting players, you will get just as much or even more points from other players letting you assist them, and later quests will cost too much AP to get the reward.
  • S-Ranking stages should not be a priority because the reward is a laughable amount of gold.
  • Based on the previous 2 tips, players should just focus on clearing quests and advancing towards the next stage. As the AP costs for stages go up, so will the rewarded Assault Points and E-Chips.
  • Assault Points and E-Chips are always guaranteed to drop. Therefore, try to attempt the hardest stage you can to maximize the amount you will get.
  • Rank Experience gain is abysmal. Do not count on having these quests refill the AP gauge.
  • Unit Experience gain is just as abysmal. Do not use these events to level up new units.
  • Save Fever Energy for higher difficulty quests. The prizes you get from harder difficulties will make it worth it especially during Great Fever Time.



Current Event - The Battle of Axis 2015/12/4 - 2015/12/11

This event is a Formidable Foe event centered around Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack and the Sazabi. This event, while familiar to those who played The Black and White Knight, has made significant improvements to the previous event.

  • The featured unit is now given out in multiple rarities based on the player's participation.
    • R for lower levels while SRR is rewarded to players who reach the highest levels.
  • The boss will always drop a container containing a battle unit or upgrade crystal.
    • Boss drops may correlate to a single roll of the event Gacha. (Need confirmation, but I got an SR Sazabi once.)
  • The boss will now have a chance to appear after playing any stage.
  • There are now event missions that give even more prizes.

Boss Stats

Initially, the stage will have 2 waves and you will only have 4-5 cores to utilize to defeat the boss.
At level 30 and after level 40, there will then be 3 stages and a total of 7-10 cores with the sole exception for level 50.

These rewards will be distributed after the event finishes and ranks are calculated. This event has combined the 101-200 and 201-500 tiers from the previous event into a single tier.

Event Tips

In order to make the most out of the event keep these things in mind:

  • While Sazabi appears after any quest, playing the main event stages is probably still the most efficient way of having it reliably appear in terms of AP efficiency.
    • Keep in mind that BP recovers a lot faster than AP. You may have to setting with spamming low cost quests or the main event stages to make sure potential BP isn't being wasted.
    • Do not be afraid of using AP recovery meds to keep up with BP recovery. The recent update ensures no AP can be wasted when using items or gems to recover AP.
  • There's are lots of SR Sazabi's given out as prizes. Selling them does not give extra S-Chips.
    • One of the event missions will require you to fully level break multiple SR Sazabi's and the reward is probably worth the effort.
    • Don't forget there are unit quests to unlock by leveling rarer units! Selling your units too early may mean they will may be possibly locked forever!
  • Do not bother bringing any Defenders to fight Sazabi. Not only are they weak against it, but they may over-dilute your pool of cores and ruin good combo chains more often than not.
    • Try to make teams that revolve around 1 attribute or a hybrid Attacker/Shooter team with low-cost finishing skills. Cross combo chain damage can make the difference.
  • Now that the boss drops a unit upon defeat, players will forfeit the drop should they ask for assistance instead of spending more BP to finish the boss off.
