Giular: Sir, field reports indicate that someone is providing arms to the citizenry.
Le Cain: “Someone?!?” It’s obviously the resistance forces. It looks like a critical opportunity to stamp them out forever may have passed us by. You have, of course, been investigating this, haven’t you?
Giular: Well… We have been increasing the number of patrols recently, but still…
Le Cain: That's all? You’re of no use to me any longer! Get me Roan and Treize!
???: They can not provide the answers you seek, Your Excellency.
Le Cain: Oh? And you think that you can?
???: Yes, sir. I know what that resistance group’s plan is. They have set course for Nazca, which is the location of a secret underground base from the war. I believe they intend to make use of this base. The Empire failed to take notice of it because they believed the base was never even completed.
Le Cain: Giular, have you looked into this yet?
Giular: Ah, well… That… You see, that base wasn’t on any of our lists, and it was so deep underground, there’s no way to detect heat sources there…
Le Cain: Hmpf. If you failed to figure this out, Giular, then I’m all the more certain that this is their plan.
???: Please, allow me to take care of this matter, sir. I’ll crush them in magnificent fashion, and it shall be the mark of my loyalty to the Muge Emperor.
Le Cain: So you'll lead forces from Byston Well into battle? Interesting, I’ll await word of your success.
???: Indeed, leave it all to me, Your Excellency.
Le Cain: Contact Gurah of the Hyakki. Who knows what nonsense they’ve been up to, but it’s time they made themselves useful for a change.

Sayaka: The base was a well-kept secret, so how did the Empire discover it?
Koji: Who cares! Let’s stop playing detective and just kick their ass!

Quatre: Yeah… It doesn’t matter how far underground they are, they can’t withstand an attack like this…
Shinobu: Captain, what’s the plan?
Amuro: Bright, I hate to say it, but we can’t do any good here. The base is lost.
Bright: Damn… Withdraw from the combat zone, full speed.
Beltorchika: Captain! There’s a huge number of enemy units approaching from behind us!

Bright: All hands, battle stations!

Cham: Sho! That’s the Will-Wips! And Todd and the others are here too!
Sho: So it’s true; Drake has joined forces with the enemy. Todd, what are you thinking? You’re from the surface too, why would you side with the Empire?
Sara: (“Prepare meticulously, and always make the first move.” There’s no mistaking it, this attack fits Shapiro’s M.O. So he’s still alive…)
Shinobu: Hey, Sara!
Sara: Everyone, let’s get out there!
Masato: Wait up, Sara!
Beltorchika: Dancougar has launched!
Bright: In only 20 seconds? They’re on the ball today. Everyone, prepare to launch in sequence!

Drake: It’s just as you planned, Shapiro.
Shapiro: Indeed, sir. Your military, with Mr. Shot’s weaponry, will prove to be mightier than any other force in the Empire. And once they see your army in action here, they will have no choice but to recognize that your power is second to none!
Drake: Indeed. Those with the power to destroy their enemies must do so, and bring order to a chaotic world. Such is the way of war.

Sara: Shapiro, what are you doing here?!?
Shapiro: Sara, you were always my star pupil. Shouldn’t you be following your teacher, even now? You still have some time to reconsider which side of this struggle you want to be on.
Sara: I don’t want to hear anything from the mouth of a traitor.
Shapiro: Hm… So I see you also suffer from a lack of vision, just like all the other Terrans.

Dr. Gurah: Oh? This is only your first battle, you should set more realistic goals, you know.

Sho: Todd! Why would you use your aura power in the service of Drake and the Empire?!?

Sho: That’s not even an excuse!
Todd: Why should I have to explain myself to you? Besides, you’ve already put me through hell and back, Sho!
Sho: Don’t care about the consequences of dragging Byston Well’s wars into the surface world?!?
Todd: Remember back when I told you about my mom, here on the surface? Well I was wrong. I should've given up on her then and there and stayed in Byston Well forever!
Sho: Todd!!!
Todd: Sho, you just don't know when to shut up!

Sho: Drake! You still won’t stop the fighting, even after its spilled into the surface world!
Drake: Sho Zama! You've always been impertinent.

Drake: You haven't the strength to bring down the Will-Wips!
Shapiro: Your Excellency, I think it’s best if we fall back for now.
Drake: That’s an uncharacteristic thing for you to say, Shapiro.
Shapiro: We already achieved our objective before this battle began. After all, what happened after the base was destroyed is merely incidental. We’ll crush these fighters later.
Drake: You have the right of it. Pull the Will-Wips back to a safe distance!
Koji: Get back here, you cowards!
Bright: Don’t pursue them too far, we need to retreat too.

Bright: Are they an enemy?

Quattro: No - This may sound crass, but we stand to benefit greatly from adding their fighting power to our own. We are aiding them out of necessity.
