Roux: Is the colonies' Operation M actually real?

Quattro: It appears so. Of course there are resistance movements like us in space also, however…

Bright: How did you become aware of them?

Quattro: I don't have any hard intel on their organization. It's said to be a group of radical space colonists, but I really don't know more than that.

Bright: I wonder, is it possible to become allies with them?

Quattro: I don’t know. I’m not as optimistic about the prospects as the general is.

Selene: Operation M...what exactly is it?

Apolly: We also don’t really know anything about it. We only know that it’s a plan to drop weapons to Earth disguised as meteors.

Selene: That doesn’t seem very efficient to me. Just how powerful are these weapons supposed to be?

Quattro: We can be sure that regardless of what it actually is, the Imperial army will show up to investigate it. Hurry up and complete all maintenance.

Grados Soldier: The target has reached the atmosphere. We have confirmation of mass transfer.

Grados Solider: There's more than 1.

Grados Solder: I can't be sure due to Minovski particle density, but there appear to be around six metal objects in descent now.

Grados Solider: Do we have any units in range that can intercept them?

Grados Soldier: Confirming...Special Lieutenant Zech’s forces are in range sir.

Grados Soldier: The Specials? Well good, notify him. I bet it’s just a broken piece of a satellite from the war three years ago anyway.

Specials Soldier: Lieutenant Zechs, we just received a report about a broken piece of a satellite falling to earth.

Zechs: Tell me, do you think many pieces of falling debris choose to descend to Earth on a precise wave course?

Specials Solider: Well...

Zechs: Definitely not, I’m sure this is the rumored Operation M. How many can we intercept? Specials Soldier: Only one - the one which is descending toward the Atlantic coast of North America.

Zechs: Is capturing only one good enough? Within the Imperial Army, we are considered outsiders. We have to get better results than that if we want to be considered successful. Specials Solder: You shouldn’t say that kind of thing out loud sir...

Zechs: Well, I am a career soldier, you know.

Roux: Incoming communication from General Blex, sir.

Bright: Patch him through. General, what is it?

Blex: I was just informed that the operation that we discussed previously has begun.

Quattro: Are we in range to be able to capture it?

Blex: I believe you’ll be in range to retrieve the weapon that is descending toward the Atlantic coast.

Bright: Let’s go and see what this Operation M is all about.

Roux: We have word from the Layzner! A Specials task force is currently launching!

Quattro: Are the Specials currently in the target’s airspace? It’ll be difficult to make it in time. I’m launching immediately.

Relena: Oh? What's that...is it a shooting star?

- Scenario 4 The Shooting Star She Saw -

Heero: ...finally, I’m here...so, this is the Earth?

Zechs: What is that? Is it some kind of fighter?

Specials: Is it a threat? Are we authorized to attack?

Zechs: I think that’s acceptable. Shoot it down. I thought they were just shuttling new weapons to the resistance on Earth, but that thing's ready for battle now.

Heero: So, the Empire detected me. Of course.

Heero: ...intercept and destroy the Specials units...mission accepted.

Heero: Left propulsion systems abnormal. Correcting.

Zechs: What…? Is that not enough to shoot it down?!?

Zechs: It transformed! It’s a mobile suit!

Heero: ......

Zechs: That weapon...no! Fall back!

Heeo: Ha...hahahahaha!

Zechs: Absurd, so much power...this Aries is no match for that mobile suit. Even so!

Heero: What?!?

Zechs: Now neither of us can move. Attention Specials, I am ejecting. Retrieve me and the downed mobile suit immediately.

Apolly: We're just in time!

Quattro: Clinging to your opponent, locking your joints so they can’t move, and ejecting...that’s a bold pilot. I wouldn’t even attempt such a thing.

Selene: In a fall from that height, even if the mobile suit survives, the pilot would probably die.

Zechs: Is the pilot...

Specials Soldier: Lieutenant, resistance forces approaching!

Zechs: Fighting them is not part of our current mission. Give a general retreat order and withdraw.

Specials Soldier: Lieutenant Gale of the security force is requesting that we prevent the resistance fighters from retreating until they arrive.

Zechs: Lieutenant Gale, is it…well, we can’t refuse a direct order from the army. Send out a mobile suit for me as well.

Selene: They're heading our way...of course.

Quattro: As expected. The Empire can’t pass up an opportunity to engage us. All forces, prepare for combat!

Gale: Good job, Lieutenant Zechs. Please, leave the rest to us.

Zechs: Well then, we will withdraw. (Ahmos Gale...looks like an excellent soldier.)

Gale: (Julia...to embrace you while my hands are stained with the blood of your little brother would be unforgivable...farewell.)

Eiji: Gale!

Gale: Eiji. I won’t try to bring you back again. If you choose to be my opponent, I will only crush you. But just tell me one thing, why do you fight for the Terrans?

Quattro: That Operation M pilot...that's too bad.

Apolly: I know. Let’s withdraw. We can’t possibly salvage that downed mobile suit.

Quattro: Yes. If we linger here, we'll run into the Empire's forces as they try their salvage operation. Eiji?

Eiji: I'm okay. I'm ready to go out anytime.

Quattro: ...this is war. I don't know your exact circumstance, but...

Bright: We received intel from the ELF. It seems the Specials are testing a new model unit. They seem to want to retrieve the Operation M weapon if at all possible.

Quattro: I know it sounds unfeasible, but could anything be accomplished by launching an attack on the Special’s facilities in the area?

Bright: That kind of operation would require us to make a broad show of force. Come, Commander, let’s consider our options.
