Anna: The year is After Colony 195. Before the Empire came, this city was one of the most prosperous and liberal places on the planet. Now, the people are dominated by darkness and fear. It is a true city of the Muge Zorbados Empire. But even so, deep down, the people here know that freedom and light will return someday. My name is Anna Stephanie.

David: Anna, are you recording in that diary of yours again? It’s almost time to go.

Anna: David...will we really leave this town?

David: This is where the Imperial Governor lives. There are prying eyes and loose trigger fingers all over this town - we’ll never get anything done here. We need to leave and join a larger resistance group. I can get more done there I think.

Anna: But...

David: Anna, I understand what you’re saying, but I can’t think of any other way for you to stay safe. You don’t even a carry a gun; if you stay here you’ll definitely get arrested sooner or later. Let’s go.

Grados Solder: You there! Don't move!

David: Ch-!

Grados Soldier: Don't run, it's pointless. We have you surrounded.

David: God damn it...

Roan: It’s best to just surrender quietly, you know. Don’t throw away your life needlessly.

David: You...Roan! The rumors were true!

Anna: What is going on?!? Roan, explain yourself! I can’t believe this!

Roan: I'm surprised. Why would you two try something like this together?

David: You sold us out! You son of a bitch!

Roan: You guys can see that I’m a traitor now, what can I say?

Anna: Why?!? Why are you helping the Empire now?!?

Roan: Terrans are being such fools. The Muge Empire brings peace and order to the planet! As loyal Imperials we could have all lived our own lives out in peace!

Anna: What? Roan, I don’t even know who you are anymore...

Grados Solider: What! Guerillas?!?

Roux: Everyone, run!

David: Thanks! We're saved!

Roux: Everyone, run! Get out of here!

David: Aaagh! Anna, run!

Anna: Y-Yes!

Bright: As expected, circumstances have changed considerably.

Quattro: Yes, the Empire’s anti-resistance operations have stepped up considerably. The Special’s movements in particular...what’s the matter, Selene?

Selene: I wonder...is it even possible to win this war?

Quattro: This game of cat-and-mouse between the Empire and the resistance is nothing new, Selene. You should know by now how this works.

Selene: What the Commander said is absolutely correct, things haven’t changed. But before I joined you all, I was only part of a small guerilla band on the Empire’s edge. We never really believed the Empire could be driven from the Earth...we only fought because our hearts wouldn't allow us to be dominated by the Empire. But the Earth Liberation Front...you intend to confront them directly!

Quattro: A direct confrontation would be rash. However, if we can secure the means by which to increase our strength, we should take advantage of that opportunity. Both ourselves and Karaba have initiated our own weapons development programs. However, I can't discuss all of the details with you now

Selene: But don't you think the ELF will run out of strength and collapse eventually?

Bright: The way things look now, if we wait any longer, Terrans will never again have the chance to be liberated from Imperial oppression. That’s why even soldiers like us, who only know defeat after defeat, are still struggling for freedom. If you were to ask me “Can we win?” I honestly couldn’t say. But we all believe that victory could still be possible.

Selene: What about the Romefeller Foundation? They have a long history, way before the Empire ever came, and they still have a lot of influence even now. Doesn’t that show that it’s possible for Terrans to achieve influence and possibly even self-government within the Empire?

Quattro: Even if that were so, eventually, under Imperial rule the very Earth itself wouldn’t survive.

Selene: The Earth won't...survive?

Quattro: That's right. Independence is our only choice.

Guerilla: Commander! Commander!

Shiro: Oh...What is it?

Guerilla: Well look at that, is that a watch? Isn’t that a woman’s design? Rumour has it that you’re a real ladies man!

Shiro: What, no way! Anyway, what did you come to report?

Guerilla: We've been in hiding here for a week already, is the enemy ever actually going to appear?

Shiro: They’ll come. This is a test route for enemy prototype units, I’m sure of it.

Guerilla: Maybe it used to be, but who knows when they’ll come this way -

Shiro: Quiet! ......do you hear that? Get down!

Guerilla: Bingo. They actually showed...you were right, Commander.

Shiro: All units, hold your fire! Let them come closer first!

Aina: ...

Specials Solider: What?!? It’s an ambush!

Shiro: Okay, front point delta, all units attack!

Shiro: Damn it, it's not working!

Guerilla: Commander, there's too many of them, we need to pull back!

Shiro: It's too late for that!

Guerilla: Uuuaaaah!

Shiro: Damn it!!!

Aina: Go away! Do you have a death wish?!?

Aina: ?!?

Shiro: That… that monster unit’s pilot...it that Aina?

Shiro: Aina, Aina Sahalin! Can you hear me?!? Is this Aina?!? Please respond!!!

Aina: ...

Shiro: Do you remember me?!? This is Shiro Amada! If you can hear me, please answer!

Aina: Is that...is that really you, Shiro Amada?

Shiro: Do you remember me? I’m so glad to see you’re alive...I thought we would never meet again...

Aina: Another squad is approaching...

Shiro: That’s definitely the new model Schuzrum Dias...those were only sent out to the field with Captain Bright’s force...

David: Eiji! Oi, Eiji! That’s you there in the Layzner right?!? It’s me, David!

Eiji: David?!? Is that really you?

David: Sure enough, it’s Eiji! And it’s not just me, Anna is here too!

Eiji: Anna too?

Anna: Eiji...is it...is it really you Eiji?!?

Eji: Yes, it’s me Anna…it’s been a long time. I’m so happy to see you’re okay.

Anna: Eiji...

Apolly: Cut the chit-chat around here! You two, you’re under our command now. Form up and let’s take care of that pursuit force!

Roux: Yes sir!

David: Roger! Let’s get that sick bastard!

Gostero: What the hell?!? Gale?!? What are you doing here?!?

Gale: Lieutenant Gostero, is that really how you should speak to someone who’s here to rescue you? After this we are going to have a little talk about why it’s taking you so long to deal with these resistance forces.

Gostero: (Damn this guy! Gale is toying with me!)

Eiji: Is that Gale again...?

Gale: Eiji...brace yourself, this time I'm coming at you with everything I have.

Eiji: David!

David: Hahaha, where have you been these last three years, man?

Eiji: It's good to see you again, I've been hoping for this reunion for all this time.

David: Hahaha, this guy. Hey Anna, come here, it's really Eiji!

Eiji: Anna...

Anna: Eiji...Eiji!!!

Anna: Eiji, I'm so happy...

Eiji: I'm sorry, it's been so long since I've been able to contact you...

Anna: It's okay...really, I understand.

Selene: Excuse me, this reunion will have to wait until later. We have to keep moving.

Eiji: Ah, okay, I understand.

David: Wow, talk about an ice queen.

Selene: There's no time for sentimentality now. Hurry up.

Quattro: Ah, it’s a Gundam Ground Type. Looks like it's been through hell and back though. You there, pilot, are you with the ELF?

Shiro: I'm Shiro Amada, sir. Apologies for the bother.

Shiro: No, it's only me. The rest...they were all killed.

Quattro: I see. Can your Gundam move?

Shiro: Yes. I have spare parts for all the burned-out electronics.

Quattro: Alright. We'll load it on our Medea, is that okay?

Shiro: Thank you, sir.

Bright: Hm, is that Gundam a test-type mobile suit? Do you have its full specifications?

Shiro: Yes, I have a copy of its spec and design files here.

Bright: Currently it seems like your unit can’t move. Repairs will take some time - more time than we can afford to stay here. Coming with us would be the safest route for you, is that okay?

Shiro: Are you sure, can I really come with you?

Quattro: We are trying to bolster our forces anyway. In fact that’s why we came here in the first place. If that sounds acceptable to you, I’ll contact the general. Unless you would prefer to stay here…

Shiro: No, please allow me to join you, Commander.

Bright: Yes, the ELF is definitely in a bind. Lieutenant Amada's assessment of the situation only confirms it.

Roux: Yes sir. My apologies, only me and David made it to the rendezvous.

Quattro: Yes. Please don't worry about it, even though only you and David made it, it was good that we came. And we were fortunate, we were also able to rescue Lieutenant Amada.

Roux: Thank you sir.

Apolly: So Eiji carried you to safety in his SPT? Wow, I’m surprised you put that much trust in him back then.

David: We didn't trust him at first. But he was together with us through hard times after that too.

Anna: You really hated Eiji back then, you know.

David: Oh yeah, well you fell in love with him at first sight!

Anna: !!! I - well...that's...

Roux: Wow, really, just like that?

Anna: I just felt like...I can trust him. I always had it in my head that he was a good guy.

Roux: Yes, yes!

Bright: Commander, can I have a moment?

Quattro: Ah, has there been word from General Blex?

Bright: That’s right...Commander, are you aware of the space colonies’ Operation M?

Quattro: The plan to drop weapons to the Earth disguised as meteors? I received an intelligence report about it from Sweetwater.

Bright: That’s it. General Blex wants us to capture these weapons for our use.

Quattro: Ah, that’s quite a demanding order. But we certainly don’t want them to fall into the hands of the Specials.

Bright: I don’t know if they will fall within our range of operation, but I want to be ready in case they do. For now, we will proceed south.

Quattro: Yes, sir.
