Earth Federation
The Earth Federation (地球連邦 Chikyuu Renpou) is a collective bloc of political, military, and economic power that represents the entire Earth and its orbiting territories if not a significant portion. In science fiction, these federations will exist as a result of human expansion rapidly progressing outside the Earth. These governments allow those from the Earth to represent themselves in the presence of other races and allow the inclusion of government representation from space colonies that have grown significantly. The term Earth Federation in science fiction anime is used generically and often as the name of the global governing entity itself. This makes crossover integration of series relatively easy in Super Robot Wars as little to no background changes are required to combine multiple Earth Federations into a single entity or there will be opportunities to have fragmented Federations be combined.
