超ヒロイン戦記 - Super Heroine Chronicle/Story Summary
Prologue
Noel and Meru are going through the desert traveling while following a bird, Noel thinking that the bird would lead the two to the nearest town but lose track of it. Noel and Meru are lost and have no idea how to get to the nearest town. When thinking about finding a person to give them directions, a mysterious boy appears and collapses in front of them. When he wakes, the two girls find out that he has no memories. It is revealed the two girls were looking for their sensei who went missing and have been looking for her. As Claude introduces himself, after a short conversation the three are suddenly transported to another place by a blinding light. They appear suddenly in a city that looks like it has been damaged through battles and looks to be abandoned. Then the three encounter the Noise, an enemy they have no idea about and are suddenly attacked.
Episode 1
Claude is attacked by the Noise causing Noel and Meru to start fighting, however their attacks are unable to damage the Noise. Then the three are surrounded by more Noise. As things look bleak, Tsubasa Kazanari appears clad in her Symphogear and destroys some of the Noise to help them. Instead of running, Noel and Meru rejoin the fight much to Tsubasa's surprise. As they continue to fight, Tsubasa notices that the Noise are not the same as the ones she has fought numerous times. As the fight against the Noise is about to finish. Laura Bodewig appears with her Personal IS: Schwarzer Regen and challenges Tsubasa to a fight. Even though Tsubasa refuses, the Noise join forces with Laura forcing them into another battle. Laura stops the fight disappointed with strength of Tsubasa's Symphogear and leaves along with any remaining Noise. As Noel, Meru and Claude explain to Tsubasa their circumstances. The same strange light from before transports the four to another place. An empty town, as they search the town they find only a shop occupied by what seems to be 2 dolls. The dolls awaken and introduce themselves as Dorothy and Catherine of DOKOKA Shop of the DOKOKA Town. The group is unable to leave the town normally because of a barrier that brings them back towards town. After asking Catherine about the exit. The group is brought to the center of town where they bring out the card they were given before where suddenly a large object appears and then the same strange light has appeared again, and finding themselves teleported to yet another place.
Episode 2
It begins with Rem helping people who are found asleep on the road. As she wakes up a few people, she later runs into a group of dream demons who are kidnapping sleeping people. As she confronts the dream demons, suddenly the TVs start shining with light. Claude, Noel, Meru and Tsubasa appear, however when they appeared more dream demons also arrive. Rem protects the group as they fight together, however they run into a girl with strange ears who speaks with frightening words. After defeating both the dream demons and the girl, the girl leaves some words which causes unease among the group. As the battle is finished, another girl appears but is lost. After this girl appears she leaves immediately trying to find what she is looking for. As everything settles down, Rem talks with the others about what is going on before she herself needs to leave in order to help more victims of the same strange phenomenon that is causing people to randomly sleep on the road. Afterwards, the group hear the same girl's voice again and Noel wishes to help her. After a brief argument between Noel and Meru, Tsubasa suggests splitting up. Noel and Tsubasa together will find the girl and help her while Meru heads over to the Ayanokoji Detective Office. Claude asks what he should do, but is told he needs to make the decision himself. This leaves Claude with making a decision of which group to follow. Unbeknownst to him and the others, this first choice is among many that will affect the future of the journey with them.
Episode 3
Noel Route
Claude decides to go with Tsubasa and Noel. Leaving Meru to go alone to the Ayanokoji Detective Office. Sonico, the girl who had been lost earlier is still trying to find her way to the photo shoot job. However she runs into dream demons mistakenly thinking they were part of the staff for the job. Tsubasa, Noel and Claude arrive in time to save her as they protect her from the dream demons. During the course of the fight, a girl in a school uniform appears, however having the same kind of dark presence similar to the one just before. The group fights that girl off too and takes out the rest of the dream demons. Now with Sonico safe, she explains her situation, to which the others realize she is in the same position as they are. However no matter what, Tsubasa is unable to get Sonico to understand the situation. Noel makes a suggestion to leave things like it is to avoid causing Sonico to become afraid and panicky. Sonico believes that this is a movie shoot and the others have no choice but to go along with it. The group is then suddenly taken again by the same light, with Sonico as the newest member.
Meru Route
Claude decides to go with Meru. As the two reach the Ayanokoji Detective Office, Rem greets them as she returns. Rem offers to provide them a place to stay while they're here. Rem explains the various cases that are happening all at once and considers them not a coincidence. As Meru and Claude cooperate with Rem's investigation. The group heads towards the location where the people found sleeping on the road are. As they find more people asleep, Rem discovers a corpse missing the head, and comments how it is similar to a previous case in the past. However dream demons appear and attack the group. During the course of the fight, two new people arrive, assumed to be doppelgangers because of their appearance, these doppelgangers have a murderous feel about them. As the group defeats the dream demons and cause the doppelgangers to retreat, Meru helps Rem with waking the sleeping people while Rem explains to Claude the nature of the dream demons and how they are not related to the headless corpse. Then suddenly Meru calls out to the others as they find a girl in pain. However the girl simply is very hungry. At the restaurant, they find out that the girl is called Hibiki Tachibana and that she has the same circumstances as Meru and Claude. Hibiki joins the group in cooperating with Rem's investigation about the source behind why the others are on this world.
Episode 4
Noel Route
After being transported by the mysterious light once again. The group arrives at Akihabara. Sonico recognizes the area and starts guided the others around. Though during the short tour the group encounters a maid cosplayer. However this maid cosplayer uses an eyebeam attack at the party and a battle ensues. During the course of the fight, Tsubasa notices Sonico being targeted and the group protects her. As the enemies leave, Tsubasa is left with the question as to why Sonico in particular was targeted. After eating and conducting a search at the last known location for Sonico’s job, the light appears once again suddenly taking the group away.
Meru Route
Meru and Hibiki become good friends quickly. Rem returns to the group and concludes that the dream demons were not responsible for the headless corpse they had discovered before. Meru had asked Rem about finding her sensei however her sensei was not found on this world. Hibiki then leads the group back to the spot where she first appeared. Here they encounter the Noise, which makes Hibiki use her Symphogear to protect her new friends. During the fight a new person appears. Noticing that it looks like a particular headphone wearing girl however Rem says that is a doppelganger. After the fight, the group somewhat relax as Hibiki finds out that Meru has met with Tsubasa and wishes to meet up with the other group. However due to the others not making any contact with them, Meru is feeling worried that something is wrong. Claude coincidentally makes a rather accurate assumption about the other group being taken away by the light. And another light also takes them away taking Rem along with them.
Episode 5
Noel Route
Aoi and Haruka have to wake up due to a robbery at the harbor where fine artworks are stored in the warehouse. After transforming, Red Angel(Haruka) and Blue Angel(Aoi), they stop the robbery. After finishing they are heading back as themselves(Haruka and Aoi) when the town is attacked by rampaging Guard Robots. Unable to transform again they find themselves surrounded and in danger. Claude appears and lures the robots away from the two. As Claude is later surrounded, Red Angel and Blue Angel save Claude. At the start of the fight the others arrive to help out. However a new person appears claiming to be called ‘Kaitou Twin Tail.’ This girl messes around with Red Angel however proves to be very strong. After ‘Kaitou Twin Tail’ leaves, the group talks about various things before Twin Angel have to leave the group. The next day, Tsubasa, Noel, Claude, and Sonico all arrive at Saint Cherine Academy where Aoi appears to welcome them. After a short talk, Aoi guides them inside to where a welcome party will happen. As well as Noel’s magic show.
Meru Route
After arriving to the world they are on, Claude decides to help out the others by finding someone. However after separating from the others, he is unable to and ends up being lost. Afterwards getting on a skateboard, he is forced to stay on as there was a bomb on it. Eventually he is saved by Aria, though the two of them are caught in the explosion and thrown to another location. The Noise appear and Aria is unable to harm them. As the two go with Claude’s plan to try and escape, Aria is caught in an ambush and the situation worsens. Hibiki then appears and helps out. During the battle, a black figure appears to which Aria instantly calls her an enemy. After that the black figure disappears from the battle as it finishes. Aria then takes both Claude and Hibiki into custody believing them to be suspicious individuals. Riko who is leading Rem and Meru also runs into them and they discuss what to do next with the Shirayuki. Aria is reluctantly volunteered to do the job and will help them while keeping an eye on them. All because of the skateboard with the bomb is part of the modus operandi of the Butei Killer, a criminal who targets and kills Butei. Aria believes the group might have some kind of connection to the Butei Killer. The group decides to capture the Butei Killer in order to prove their innocence while under the watchful eye of Aria.
Episode 6
Noel Route
Kaitou Twin Tail(Riko) sets up a diversion for her to steal the “Angel’s Tear.” As the group fights against the rampaging robots attacking the town, during the battle another dark figure appears before the group and attacks them. However after the battle, it is discovered that the “Angel’s Tear” was stolen, however only one half of it. Aoi explains about the “Angel’s Tear” and the “Fragments of the Holy Grail.” After Aoi decides to be the one to guard the remaining half of the “Angel’s Tear” the rest of the group decide to help her as well as somehow take back the half that was stolen. Meanwhile after Riko talks to her client’s agents via phone call, finds out that her client is furious about how the “Angel’s Tear” half she stole has no power. She later becomes upset being referred a certain fashion by the agent she is talking to, and being hung up on. She immediately swears that she’ll pay back Twin Angel.
Meru Route
Under the watchful eyes of Aria, the group feels like they aren’t really trusted. However when Aria receives a mail on her phone about a bus jacking, she immediately leaves the group behind to go after it. Under the impression that the Butei Killer is involved, Aria heads to the supposed location only to find dream demons. Claude appears suddenly as he had secretly followed Aria. During the battle, Laura appears again and challenges Aria to a fight. Forced into a fight, Aria who thinks she is able to fight Laura is caught in Laura’s Schwarzer Regen’s AIC ability which prevents her from being able to move. Reki then saves Aria from the AIC, to which then more dream demon reinforcements appear. Then Rem, Meru, and Hibiki also appear to help out. As Laura once again leaves after collecting data before the battle ends. Aria is left in an upset mood. Claude talks with Aria to which he finds out that Aria’s impatience in her actions were for her mother’s sake. Aria’s mother has been falsely charged with crimes that add up to 864 years in prison time. Aria has been trying to capture all the real criminals to reduce her mother’s sentence as much and as fast as possible. The others later find out through Claude and Hibiki comes up with an idea. Through Hibiki’s forceful nature, Aria reluctantly joins them to sing at a karaoke place.
Episode 7
Noel Route
After what happened with half of the “Angel’s Tear” being stolen, the group is waiting for Kaitou Twin Tail(Riko) to appear. Due to Sonico’s thoughts on the matter, they now believe that Kaitou Twin Tail(Riko) is from another world. So they decided to check the location where they had appeared, though Tsubasa wants the Twin Angel pair to be careful in getting caught up with anything unexpected. As enemies appear before them, the group fights, until Laura appears once again. However, Laura’s goal is not fighting against anyone, but to take the “Angel’s Tear” from them. As they fight, Twin Angel finds out how strong Laura is. Tsubasa then fights Laura alone to hold her off while the others escape. As the situation slightly worsens with more enemy appearing, Tsubasa uses her Swan Song to drive off Laura and defeat the other enemies. Much to the group’s dismay, Tsubasa is left behind as they are dragged off to DOKOKA Town. Tsubasa’s fate is unknown.
The group arrives at DOKOKA Town and meets up with Meru and others she met. Hibiki who finds out that they knew Tsubasa asks what happened. As she finds out that Tsubasa used the Swan Song, she is somewhat concerned but believes that Tsubasa is okay. After some information exchange, an argument between Noel and Meru breaks out and Meru runs off on her own to find their sensei. Though some of the group wants to go after Meru, the group eventually decides to move as one and not search for Meru, much to the reluctance to some of them. Before they make their move, Aria’s desire to help her mother and catch Riko are on her mind.
Meru Route
After their visit to a Karaoke place, Hibiki asks Aria for help with training. After staying in Aria’s world for a while the group wonders what to do when Shirayuki informs them that Aria is now cooperating with the police for a bizarre series of murders where the corpses of girls are found to be headless. Rem reacts badly to this and wants to help but Butei High School does not allow them to. Riko arrives and convinces the group that the Butei Killer might attack Aria by herself as she is now a tempting target. The group decides to do so and heads to help Aria. Meanwhile Aria is investigating the bizarre murder case and is suddenly attacked by a mysterious mantle wearing man. Put to sleep by gas, Aria is helpless but the group arrives in time to help. Rem’s special alarm watch wakes up Aria and they discover the that the mantle wearing man is Rem’s old enemy Shinigami Hakase, an enemy that Rem has killed 3 times already. As Shinigami Hakase leaves. Riko appears before them and reveals herself to be the Butei Killer and her only target is Aria. After the battle, Riko escapes via the mysterious light and Aria is forced to join forces with the group in order to chase after her. After being coincidentally taken by another mysterious light to DOKOKA Town.
As the group arrives, they run into Noel’s group and Hibiki finds out that Tsubasa has used her Swan Song and is not with Noel’s group as a result but she believes Tsubasa will be okay. As they start exchanging information. Noel and Meru are alone together and the two have an argument which leads Noel to taking action by herself and she searches for their sensei alone. As the group finds out that Noel is no longer with them, Meru is not as concerned and hopes that Noel will grow as a person by not spoiling her. The group decides to move as a group as Aria swears she will catch Riko and help her mother.
